Bolinao falls, alaminos pangasinan
Arrived a bit late but still managed to have fun at this first stop where we had our lunch prepared by Nico or Judith. First free fall jump along the falls. Thrilling, exciting and so damn anti badvibes from the agit tour guides.

Enchanted cave
Cold sub terrain pool inside the cave which i will trade for any beach experience under the scorching heat of the sun. Its summer, yes, and we love the water, yes. But we were amazed by its beauty, it exceeded all our expectations that we are ready to drop every other itenery we have planned. Thus the start of the agit tour guide saga.

Purot beach
Nah. Just an ordinary white/dirty white beach. Or maybe enchanted river just raised the bar of expectations for us

Seafood restaurant for dinner
Usual dinner by the bay. Nothing special. Even the food is overrated. I cant remember the name of the place. Thats how bad it is.

Vistas islas resort and hotel – Room 202 – Bahay pasugalan
Learned a new card game. Easy mechanics but fast money circulation. As usual, i dont join card games where there is money involved. Not my kind of game i guess. I got so bad luck even beginners luck has dammaged reputation in me.

Hundred islands – beach hopping
Governor’s island
153 steps to reach its summit where there a good view of almost all other islands. PBB house is also here – is that really famous? Just a so-so house in the middle of a hundred islands. Its cool for a location, other than that, nothing special. But this island is really a good starting point where you get to see other nearby islands.

Monkey island – because there are monkeys. No beach area
Romulo island – romulo named it. I dont know why or what for
Marcos Island – highlight of the trip
Conquered cliff diving. First jump was as the lowest platform available in the cave. The drop feels so relieving. Emotinal thrust. Letting go of everything. Ready to die moment but it feels fulfilling as water touches your feet. Panic rushed in, jumping is just half of the fun. Paddling your way out of the cave with around 8 feet deep water is a challenge if your drop didnt go well and your butt and thighs are all aching.
This island’s beauty captured us that we are ready to throw the itenerary we have again. But we have to move on. There are a hundred different experiences in each island

Quezon Island – where most expensive lunch is served. We didnt eat here.
Turtle island not because there are turtle but because its shape looked like one. There are crocs though.
Bat island – weird that those bats are of different kind than those in the caves weve been.
Children island – didnt asked why the name
Cuenco island – last stop for lunch
We are all too tired and hungry to swim. And i think there is no beach area in the island. The food is reasonably priced. Food is usual but fresh.

QA work-week-day-out

Feb. 6, 2013

With Netsuite’s best QA’s, we went trekking at Taal.

Assembly time is around 4:30 – 5:00 am so we can be at the crater at around 8, when the sun is not too hot yet for walking our way up. But with all good fortune, I woke up 15 minutes before 5. I have to prepare my things, take a bath and walk/ride to RCBC. I arrived 2 minutes before 5. Late comers will have to buy coffee for everyone, 22 cups!

We took a boat from Talisay to Taal. It was a smooth sail. Then we arrived at the shores of the volcano. To our surprise, we are at an island not too far from what we believed as Taal Volcano. Thanks to misleading books and post cards.

Going up to the crater is really a deadly challenge. With burning heat of the sun and not enough water. I remembered trekking to Anawangin. It was actually a nice experience. sweating it all. But what I hated is my passing out when I reached the top. I should really work on my cardio and boost my stamina. All in all, I really enjoyed the view up there. I never thought there can be such¬†spectacular place near home. It feels like I am a total stranger at the lake where I actually grew up. I love the view, fresh air, calm breeze, steady clash of waves at the shore. I am at home ūüôā

Going down, I rode a horse for 2 reasons. One, experience because I never rode one before and its a perfect timing because of the second reason, I passed out going up. Thus, rode it to be sure I would be able to enjoy the rest of our day-out.

On the boat going back, best waves for adventure seekers but not for the faint-hearted. The waves ridiculously crashed into the boat because we are directly heading opposite the wind.

Then we traveled back up to Tagaytay and headed to Taal Vista for lunch. So much for working out and tiring ourselves trekking, we ate ¬†until we are all full. It was a buffet so I actually can’t tell how much I ate. After eating, we go out for a walk and the club actually has a good spot for over-looking at Taal.

After taking a lot of pictures at Taal Vista, we go out of way just to be able to buy some pasalubong at Sonya’s Garden. I thought it was overrated. They actually served good cookies and pastries but I think I wouldn’t go out of way again just to be at Sonya’s. Unless maybe if I’m coming from Nasugbu and it is actually on the way.

After Sonya’s, plan was to go to Nuvali but it changed when we stopped over Rowena’s for more pasalubong. They thought about going to MOA for dinner and having KTV after. But all changed again when we were stuck in traffic and we all felt tired and exhausted.

We just headed back to RCBC, part ways and call it a day.

*thanks to Pao and Gelo for the pics!

Isa na naman karumal-dumal na outing ang nangyari with Aubrey, Cireen, Michelle, Charmaine, Arra, Mark and Johnver.

Trekking from Pundaquit

Trekking to Southside Cliff

Maganda! Plus almost sunset pa nung pumunta kami kaya lalong Maganda! Kaso hindi naman kaya magcliff dive.

*waiting for pics for grab kina arra

Socials

  • mangga? Indian mango (insert something racist) hehehe
  • ketchup? Masarap kang sawsawan ng hotdog
  • pinto ka ba? gusto kitang pasukan at labasan
  • Chicharon? ingay mo kase pag kinakain
  • estatwa? gusto kitang galawin
  • lamesa? gusto kitang patungan
  • Finale ni Aubrey, na tumabla for all eternity kay kuya. canal ka ba? tanga lang mahuhulog sayo

*will add more pag naalala pa

Mallows and crackers never fails.

May abandonadong bahay at light house.

Lagari mode on.

1130pm: Nagpaalam ako sa producer ko. PUMAYAG!! Ang saya ko lang!!

3am: Umuwe ako from office, para kaunin sina Mark at Arra!

Nakakapanghina.

Captain Awesome is awesome.

Posted in outing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 28, 2012 by abetgonzales

Ang 3D/2N escapade sa Boracay ay talagang bitin. I was with Brian, Jet and his girlfriend Anna. We stayed at Casa D’Estrella which is a quite nice place and the attendants are really¬†accommodating. It was thanks to Cash Cash Pinoy deal that we got this cheap deal.

We spent our first afternoon walking along the shore. Trying to burn what we ate and our skin as well. That night we tried to look for an appetizing buffet meal. We walked from Station 2 to the farthest end of Station 3 to check all the restaurants. We ended up walking back to Station 2 and we chose the restaurant that served a lot of talaba.

Then we drunk at Guilly’s in Station 1. The DJ is ridiculously great. He has played silly OPM songs but I thought it was actually cool because it did not sound off. And then came Captain awesome after we had 3 pitchers of weng weng.

Captain awesome is awesome. He can climb trees, walk on water, fly and jump over big gaps.

The following day, Saturday, we woke up at 11. Worst hang over. I dont know what to eat or drink. Swam for an hour then had an epic phone call. I was also able to try chori-burger. We went to Grotto at Station 1 then had a massage at Haplos. After the massage, all I can say is. “Thus the name indeed is Haplos”. We had mozzarella-filled burger for dinner. Then tried to party at Cocomangas but the music wasnt that great so we came back to Guilly’s which to our surprise was just across the street.

The following morning, I set my alarm at 6am so I can check the stores for pasalubong but we all woke up at around 8. So we had no time to shop anymore. We had our lunch at Kalibo, in a restaurant across the airport.

Nothing beats the time spent with these¬†people. *ANUHAN NA*

This is definitely the escapade we were looking for. The place was so nice and price was definitely friendly and beyond satisfactory *as compared to the galera trip*.

Nagkayak kame, snorkeling, hiking, volleyball at “obstacle race”.

Snorkeling: MAJOR FAIL. Wala akong nakita kahit isang isa.

Obstacle Race: So-so lang. Hahaha. Pero totoo, nagenjoy ako sa obstacle race. Ay kulang, Pictorial sa obstacle race.

Kayak: Not so excited about it. Meron ako nito sa hacienda namin. LOL.

Well, that was 9.30 nung pumunta kami sa area ng water activities and it just so happen na yung mga Acer pips pala e last day na rin at magbabanana boat din. At hindi lang isa, kundi tig dadalawang ikot silang lahat. pang 27-28-29 kami sa list at number 7 pa lang ang tinatawag that time. So kame, relax relax lang. Swim-swim. Enjoy-enjoy sa tubig kase last day na namin. Habang nasa floater kame ni Jessa, coincidentally, may nakita siyang kakilala. Nasa isip ko,

Abet: “Sa sobrang remote ng island na to. Walang public transpo. Milya milyang layo sa Manila at lalo sa Batangas, may nakita kang kakilala?!”

Jessa: “Kuya…*insert name here* ? ”

Kuya: “Ui! Hi! Sinong kasama mo!”

Blah blah blah. Enough for that part of the trip. Blog ko to. Haha!

Going back sa Banana Boat. 10.45 na at nasa 15-18 pa lang ang tinatawag. Hala! Hindi na ako nageexpect. By 12.30 dapat naka check-out na kame, kase 1.30 aalis ang ferry.

NOTICE: Banana Boat Ride cut-off time: 11:00 am. Will resume at 1.30.

Kaboom. Pano na to. Sayang naman ang binayaran namin 3 other tickets. Sayang ang libreng tickets. Sayang ang pagkakataon. First time na kasama ko sila magbanana boat. Sayang talaga. Dinaan sa charm, wits and guts. Nakipagcompromise. Nagbigay ng conditions. Nagmakaawa.

Kaya naman, suffer the consequences kame afterwards. Dali daling naglunch. Tapos late pala makakaalis ung ferry. At napaaway pa sa coast guard. Over-loading daw. FTW! At may paimportante pa! Kesyo big group daw sila kaya dapat binigyan ng special prioritization. Aba. Deadma. Antok na kame para patulan kayo. Haha.

Moving forward.

The Chiquita experience was the best for me. ¬†Panalo ang hiking experience na to kase when we knew there’s a “canyon” in the island, we were very excited. But, we decided to schedule to when Jessa arrives. So to make sure we dont get lost, nagtatakbo ako sa isang bahay para magtanong.

Abet: “What the hell. Magtatanong lang ako!”.

Sumigaw ako,

Abet: “Magtatanong lang po. Pede po magtanong?”.

Girl: “Ano yon?”

Creepy. Pero tuloy. Siko to siko ang lakad. As in tulad ng makikita sa Bataan.

The trip was really a stress relief. Just when I need it the most. Kaya sobrang sulit ang trip na ito. Next trip: Splash Island/Tierra Salva Resort. Obi, Mark and the rest ng Mattheans na graduate ngayon year, magparamdam na ng Thanks Giving. Wag na mahiya, magpaouting na!
